To celebrate our first degree, a few of us decided to head to The Baths, near Citrusdal. After arriving and setting up the tents, Tyron and I went for a game of tennis. Further, we were informed of a sokkie being hosted at the Dwarsgebou – we decided to go and were graced with the likes of “Liewe Lulu” and “Rooi Rok Bokkie”.

The next morning I went on a solo mission to scout the trails of the area. There had been a fire rather recently, so the fynbos was not all too interesting, yet I still enjoyed the spectacular scenery!

We spent the rest of the day swimming in the various warm pools and playing cricket. Joan, Tyron and I decided that we needed to find some cold beer and Savannas, so we drove to Citrusdal – this turned out to be immense fun…

The next day, we opted for the scenic route back to Stellenbosch via the R303 and subsequently Bainskloof.  It was a bit of a bumpy ride through Buffelshoek Pass and Middelberg Pass, but the reward was paramount.
